Story Submissions
Whether your story is about overcoming challenges, celebrating identity, or envisioning the future, we want to help bring it to life in an interactive format that will inspire and connect with others. Participants whose stories are selected will receive an honorarium for their contribution and work closely with our team to ensure their voice shines through authentically.We’re open to all kinds of stories—whether they’re fictional, non-fictional, autobiographical, or traditional tales passed down through family, nation, or clan. The only rule? They need to be original creations or cherished generational stories you’re excited to share.We welcome stories from all youth, with a special focus on uplifting marginalized groups such as Indigenous and queer communities. We strongly encourage submissions that explore themes or experiences connected to these identities!Due to funding constraints, we are only able to accept submissions from Ontario.

Submission Guidelines
Please submit stories to [email protected] in PDF format. Audio/oral submissions are also accepted in MP3 format. Please use the subject line: “Story Submission”.Please also include your name, age, pronouns, and preferred email so we can contact you.Suggested word count: Between 500-1000 words. If chosen, we will work together to flesh out your story fully in the visual novel, so don’t worry if you can’t fit everything into your submission.Deadline: February 14th, 2025.Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all.
FREE Workshops

Taleweavers Alliance is hosting FREE game design workshops in downtown North Bay for youth aged 15-25(ish). Learn game design fundamentals, character and sound design, 2D animated sprites, and more!Join all the sessions to gain the skills to create your own visual novel-style game, or catch up later with online resources or 1-on-1 support.
